In my last post I wrote that I hadn’t written my first draft…I meant I have wriiten it…phew. Just keeping you all on your toes.
First Down….
So, I haven’t written my first draft of my research paper….wooo hooo!! I am so excited. But it is exactly that, a first draft. I submitted it to my friends Anne and Jenny. The rest of the day we are just going to relax. Have a good day!
Game plan
The girls are at my mother in laws today for about 4 hours so I can work on my paper. Today is the day I am going to do my rough draft and have it ready to pass in, or at least half done. I have to do this. I know if I can finish it, it will take a load of stress off my back.
Tonight, Curtis, the girls and I are going to go to the fair for about 2 hours. Lily will probably want to ride some rides and Grace will like the food!!! She is momma’s big eater. I am excited, so I should get started on this paper.

New clothes….for the family!
Today was pretty fun. I went shopping…..by MYSELF! I had a really good time. I bought myself some new school clothes and of course picked up some goodies for the girls. Lily got her first new cabbage patch doll…..at first she wasn’t sure about it because she had freckles, but as I write she lays sleeping in her bed, snuggled up with her new baby. She even asked daddy tonight if he would watch her while she went potty.
I am starting to get a bit nervous about school, but I am ready to go back. I want this year to be done, so life can get back to somewhat normal.
I finally have gotten my dryer fixed, so the ten loads of laundry are a work in progress. I am wanting to get the house back in order before tuesday. On that note, I am going to get some sleep so tomorrow I can get cracking. Good night.
So pooped….
The girls and I had a long day today. I got up at 6am and decided today is the day I’m going to do my yardsale. Got everything packed up and brought over to my mom’s because she lives on the main drag of brooksville. I only had 3 customers but I made about $100. I was pretty excited about this. I think I will continue it again tomorrow. If anyone knows anyone who needs baby stuff, send them my way. I have some nice stuff, for good prices!! I just want to get it out of my shed.
I am so not ready for school to start next week. I haven’t really done much to get ready for it. I am kind of envious of Jenny’s ambition…waahhh! I still love you though Jenny.
But, this girl is going to get her butt in bed. Sweet dreams everyone.
It’s a blah day…
Yesterday, I didn’t get much accomplished and today, I probably won’t either. The weather is beautiful outside, so maybe we will just spend the day outside. Hope everyone has a good day.
So excited….
So my day started really nice. I have to tell the news…..We got a new van!!! I am so excited, so much room, a DVD player, what more could a mother ask for. I know it’s pretty sad when you get excited about a minivan..but I am super excited. It’s a 2008 Black Dodge Caravan, with a lifetime power train (motor/transmission) warantee. Here’s the thing….the price is only $4 more a month then the Hyundai. I am going to miss my Hyundai, but the van is going to be so great with the girls.
Although my van is super exciting…..something else really made my day this morning. I received a message from Jenny, telling me she hadn’t realized I had appplied for a preceptorship through my nursing school to practice my clinical at a nearby hospital. Honestly, I hadn’t realized I had either. They must have mad an extra spot open because guess what…..I am going to be doing my clinical at a hospital 10 minutes from my home!!!! I am obviously so excited because the days will be shorter which means I will have that extra time with my children…..awwww I am so happy.
So, now I have my neice over and Lily and they are really wanting to walk “Daddy” outside, so for now….I hope you have as good of a day as I am so far…..knock on wood……(P.S. I swear I am not bragging……just really excited.) But, also bummed I won’t be with my Jenny. It couldn’t have been any better if I had seen Jenny’s name under mine on the list of clinical placements:(
Sunday fun
Today was a beautiful day. The girls and I got up, had breakfast and decided we wanted to go to Ellsworth to the pet shops and look at the animals. $130.00 later, we came home with a new friend. His name is daddy and he is a mini bunny. He is sooo cute!! Lily absolutely loves him. She took him for two walks today with his new harness and spent a lot of time with him.
Besides that, all I got accomplished today was getting my refrigerated pickles done and I also did a few dishes. But, when it’s all said and done, the girls had fun and that’s all that matters. I guess I should go to bed now. The girls are soundly sleeping and this mommy’s tired.
Lazy days….almost over!
Yesterday, the girls, my mother and I went to Bangor. I was on a mission to find anything related to the alphabet. My goal for Lily this year is to teach her to write her name. I found dry erase boards at Target for one dollar, dry erase markers at job lots, an alphabet workbook and alphabet poster at the dollar store. We worked a little on “L” today and she did very well.
I can’t believe break is almost over. I said I was going to get all kinds of stuff done and be ahead, but….has that really happened? I am trying to write my paper, but I can’t even find journals.
Today is another rainy, boring day. I think I am going to stay in my jammy’s and take a nap with the girls.
I think I saw the sun today
Today was pretty slow, but nice. The girls and I spent the morning together and then we ran to Bangor quickly with my sister. Her daughters had a dentist appointment so while they were there, Lily and I got to shop for about an hour at Target. Yeah….I love that store. Found some cute things Lily and I have been looking for, including an animated pig that she absolutely loves because her big cousin has something quite like it. I love my girls.
Tomorrow will probably be quite low key. Thinking about starting my paper….but can’t find any articles. ARGHHHH…..I had this problem last semester. So……we will see. Anyways….My husband is waiting for me so we can play Sonic the Hedgehog. I know it is so nice to be a grown up. Love to all.
