Hello Everyone!!

It’s been a long time since I posted. Things have been crazy! But, I am happy to say Med/Surg goodbye and Psych Nursing hello. That’s right folks, 6 weeks of medsurg behind me and I have 80 hours of Psychiatric nursing clinical to go. Wow…..that feels good to say!

I have been working on a project. Lily’s birthday isn’t until May, but it’s on the day of our final, so I thought I would get a head start and finish these:

I am kind of new to scrapbooking, so if anyone has some constructive criticism, feel free to let me know. What could I have done to make these better? I think I did an ok job, but feel like the lower portion of the invitation may either need something or maybe I could have set it up better. What do you think?

I can’t believe Lily is going to be four. I remember when I was pregnant with her like it was yesterday. She is so fun and smart. Sometimes I wonder if she is really mine because she comes up with some really funny things. Kids are such a blessing (homicidal thoughts, Jenny? Hahah)

I also want to share Curtis’s newest addition to his arms. My husband has several tat’s, but I think I am partial to his newest one.  Can anyone guess why?

This is one tat. It’s called an ambigram. It says Nikki one way and turn it upside down and it says Curtis. I think it is one of his more unique tattoos. I love it…..

Well kids, that’s all for tonight. Monday is exam number 1 for Psych and Jenny, I think I am coming over tomorrow to study but I will talk to you tomorrow about that. Hope everyone is doing great. Good night.

  1. Nikki, I love the birthday announcement!! It is gorgeous!!! You did an awesome, awesome job girlie. And I love, love, love Curtis’ new tat!! It is friggin awesome!! Keith thinks it is awesome also. Keith said he has seen them before but this is the best one that he has seen!!

  2. OH and I LOVE your new blog design!!!

  3. Yay! You blogged! What a cool tattoo. I love that it’s an ambigram-though I just learned what that was. Hee hee… Hope you don’t get snowed out tomorrow. Jenny explained to me what happened with the last class and everything being jammed up at the end. Good luck! I think what’s bothering you on the invitation is that it’s white/lighter at the bottom, making it seem top heavy. What about placing the flower down in the bottom right corner? Or turning the background, so the patterned paper is on the bottom behind the invitation and the photo is on the white? Then the flower can stay in the middle (I do like it there). Just a couple thoughts. Time does fly! Mine are almost 19 and 14. I’m sure Jenny would say the same! Hugs!!

  4. Hey Sharon, I just figured out I had a new comment on here..hahah. I have to start getting better at this blogging thing. Thank you so much for the ideas. I totally agree it is top heavy!! Sometimes, I just get so stumped and it discourages me. That’s why I have all this scrapbooking stuff and never do anything. I should take some classes! I just want to finish school and get that out of the way and be able to do some fun things, without worrying about studying! So, how are you doing? And your boys? My girls are doing good, growing like weeds. We went sledding today, which was really fun! Way too much snow here. Your quilts are gorgeous….is quilting a new hobby or one of your many talents?? Any who, it’s definately time for bed. Have a great night!!
    Nikki
