I haven’t done this for a while so I think I should probably ease back into it……NAH!! Here comes the bitchin’. Today was test number two in a series of 4 tests in 8 days! I am pretty sure I have passed the first two tests, but the last one is the most important, because I am kind of teetering grade wise in Psych Nursing. I think I just don’t understand it because it doesn’t interest me. I don’t like the slow pace, mostly communicating thing, not very good at it. So, monday will be the last test in this series and then we will have two tests left, which are our final exams!!
Besides studying for tests, I have started my application for my Maine State license for Nursing. I also ordered a new cord for my cricut, power cord that is, because I mysteriously lost mine! Hmmm…I think there is a gremlin in my house that eats my stuff…probably called children. I have also managed to lose my stamps and address labels, so I can’t send my bills. Do you think the companies that have sent me bills would take that as an excuse?
Today, the girls and I went to a local grease shop and got a free ice cream. That was kind of nice, because we all know, not much is free these days.
Well my eyes are blinking really slow and I still have to finish my studying for the night, so for now, Sweet dreams all!!
I think I Forgot How to Do This.
Quiet Before the Storm…
This weekend has been up and down. Friday, sick all day long. Couldn’t even get out of bed. I was so sick (my husband and I actually) we had my mom watch the girls while we laid in bed all day. Extreme nausea, vomiting and well you know the rest!! Saturday came and we felt much better. Just small reminants of the sickness. Took the kids to the Discovery Museum in Bangor, were we spent the afternoon exploring and running around. So much fun. If you have kids and live close to the Bangor area, I recommend it. After that, a quick trip to Old Navy where Curtis bought two very needed nice pairs of pants for occasions such as dinner with his beautiful wife. Then home, where we all just chilled and finished the night as usual.
Today, got up. Belly still isn’t feeling quite right. Lost about 6 lbs. though! I know it’s not the healthy weight, but when I saw 152 on the scale, I almost shit and not from being sick!! Sorry, that was a little much. Gonna spend the rest of the day hanging with the kids and working on some spring cleaning upstairs. Gonna take it one room at a time, rearrange, clean out drawers, etc. Hope everyone has a productive day. Hugs.
Sledding and good ol’ fashion Fun!!
Today, had my first exam for NUR 204. So excited it is behind me and as long as I pass, I could care less what the number is. On my way home, I picked the girls up early and decided we should do something fun. I came home and my sister was walking with her little one and asked if we wanted to go sledding. So, we all went and it was a lot of fun. The girls had a blast and honestly, I think it is the first sledding we have done this year. I know, I am so awful, I just always let school get in the way and today I said to hell with school, let’s do something fun.
The girls both fell asleep pretty early, which was nice. They were exhausted. I am totally exhausted to so for now, I think I am going to say good night and I am really trying to get better at this blogging!!
Hello Everyone!!
It’s been a long time since I posted. Things have been crazy! But, I am happy to say Med/Surg goodbye and Psych Nursing hello. That’s right folks, 6 weeks of medsurg behind me and I have 80 hours of Psychiatric nursing clinical to go. Wow…..that feels good to say!
I have been working on a project. Lily’s birthday isn’t until May, but it’s on the day of our final, so I thought I would get a head start and finish these:

I am kind of new to scrapbooking, so if anyone has some constructive criticism, feel free to let me know. What could I have done to make these better? I think I did an ok job, but feel like the lower portion of the invitation may either need something or maybe I could have set it up better. What do you think?
I can’t believe Lily is going to be four. I remember when I was pregnant with her like it was yesterday. She is so fun and smart. Sometimes I wonder if she is really mine because she comes up with some really funny things. Kids are such a blessing (homicidal thoughts, Jenny? Hahah)
I also want to share Curtis’s newest addition to his arms. My husband has several tat’s, but I think I am partial to his newest one. Can anyone guess why?

This is one tat. It’s called an ambigram. It says Nikki one way and turn it upside down and it says Curtis. I think it is one of his more unique tattoos. I love it…..
Well kids, that’s all for tonight. Monday is exam number 1 for Psych and Jenny, I think I am coming over tomorrow to study but I will talk to you tomorrow about that. Hope everyone is doing great. Good night.
Someone Cure Substance Abuse please!!
Substance abuse is one draining disease, for family, friends and society. It seems like no matter what you say or what you do, you might as well talk to a fucking wall because you won’t get through to these people. You may ask why I have such animosity towards this disease and the answer is, brother, uncles, aunts, grandfathers, father, and sister in laws! That’s right folks, it’s rampant on all sides of my family and I am so tired of dealing with it! Any suggestions?
Besides that thought, I have not been up to much today, yelling at the girls, not getting housework done, not doing homework. A plain ol’ shitty day. Cheer me up!! Let me know what you have been up to!
Tired, but can’t sleep.
Tomorrow is my first day of my last semester of school. I wish I could just snap my fingers and it would be over and I am fucking serious when I say that. Nursing school has been the hardest thing I have ever done in life, mind you I have two children, young children, and I still think it’s harder then motherhood!!! I am ready to be done with this “journey”. It’s more like a walk in hell!!! Hahaha…..my advice to you, don’t go to nursing school!! Wow….anyways. This weekend has been very unproductive. I did finish Lily’s sweater finally. It is really pretty and she loves it. She is an absolute sweety. Well, I have been putting it off long enough. I really need to do my reading for tomorrow. So until next time, which will probably be around May 10th, have a great day.
Day After Christmas mess…
Today has been a very unproductive day…so many gifts to put away and not enough time. Thank you to Jenny for the christmas gifts, very thoughtful as usual. I love you Jenny, you are such a great friend.
Hope everyone had a great holiday. Time to get productive. Need to pick up the house and get the tree out!! Good night everyone!
Christmas Time!!
Just got back from bringing Lily to school. Threw a load of laundry in, Grace and I had something to eat, and now we are getting comfy and thinking about taking a nap. I actually have the latest Mummy movie in and feel like doing some internet surfing about ORGANIZATION, that word right now, seems like I hate it.
Tonight Curtis, me and a couple of friends are going to the Arborvine for dinner. The Arborvine is a very expensive and upscale restaurant. You can’t get out of there for less than a $100.00 meal. Thank god Curtis gets a $100.00 gift certificate every year from his grandfather for his birthday. This is like our annual nice dinner together, so I am really excited. It’s kind of a celebration for finishing my third (yes, third) semester of NURSING SCHOOL!! Yee-fucking-haw!! One more to go!
I have been pretty busy, but also pretty lazy about writing lately. We have been doing a lot of stuff getting ready for christmas. Took my exam monday, Hesi yesterday, gingerbread men with lily’s class last week, gingerbread house with lily the other night, finished xmas shopping, attempting to clean out sewing/scrapbooking room, picking through girls toys, etc. But, we are all ready for christmas. I do have to get some cleaning done next week before thursday. I figured I would wait until the day before christmas, cuz we are a messy bunch.
I love christmas. I hope everyone has a great one!!
Date night.
So my day didn’t start off so well. Husbands are a total jerk sometimes. I got a call about 5 minutes after he left for work saying, “we need to go out and do something……without the kids.” You know what I think, I think men have PMS also!
The holidays went well. We had our first dinner at 12pm at my mom’s house. We left there, went home and everyone took a nap except me. Then we went to Curtis’s parents. We got there around 4, ate dinner and hung out until about 8pm. It was a long day but it was nice to get together with the families.
Plans for this week:
Finish up clinical for NUR 201 (thank god) Tues, Weds 6hrs/day as school nurse
Finish X mas cards.
Get tree up with presents under it.
Work on two projects that need to be done for christmas.
Clean house.
Keep up with reading.
Play basketball Mon @ 6:30pm (FUn, FUn)
I’ll share a few photos with you. Some are halloween, and others are random. They are new so I wanted to update you on the kids.
First up, TInkerbell. She was so cute!
Trouble maker #2 – Grace. She only looks sweet!
The girls and Nanny (my mom).
These pictures are called A Day In the Park with Jenny!
Hope you all have a great day.
Exam 4…down!
Today was exam #4 and thank f*ing god, we only have one exam left. I am so excited that this semester is almost over. I also passed in my 8 page APA format paper on Intimate Partner Violence. It was a hellacious paper, but it’s done.
I still have a few hours of clinical left and I am so ready for a break.
So, today after the test I went to Shirley’’s Yarn and bought Grace and Lily some beautiful yarn. My plans are to knit them both sweaters for christmas, although I might be reaching a little high because I have two other projects I want to finish for christmas. Hope everyone had a great day. I am off to Bangor with mom in the morning to do some window shopping and destressing. Until then, have a great night.
